Po wielu miesiącach spekulacji na temat współpracy OpenAI z legendarnym projektantem Apple, Jonym Ive’em, wreszcie poznajemy pierwsze szczegóły ich wspólnego projektu.
Według najnowszych przecieków, pierwszym produktem twórców ChatGPT może być domowy hub AI, funkcjonalnie zbliżony do inteligentnego głośnika. Urządzenie ma nie tylko przetwarzać komendy, ale też aktywnie analizować otoczenie za pomocą wbudowanej kamery oraz kontekstu rozmów.
Jak donosi serwis The Information, OpenAI traktuje wejście na rynek sprzętu niezwykle poważnie. Nad pierwszym fizycznym produktem firmy pracuje obecnie dedykowany zespół liczący ponad 200 osób. Docelowa cena urządzenia ma oscylować w bardzo przystępnych granicach od 200 do 300 dolarów, jednak na premierę będziemy musieli poczekać najwcześniej do początku 2027 roku.
Hub, który widzi i analizuje kontekst
Tym, co ma odróżniać sprzęt OpenAI od tradycyjnych rozwiązań pokroju Apple HomePod czy Amazon Echo, jest głęboka integracja wielomodalnej sztucznej inteligencji z fizycznym otoczeniem użytkownika.
Według raportu urządzenie zostanie wyposażone w kamerę, która umożliwi asystentowi AI ciągłą analizę tego, co dzieje się w pomieszczeniu. Wprowadzenie do salonów urządzenia, które stale analizuje wizję i fonię, z pewnością wywoła potężną dyskusję na temat prywatności i bezpieczeństwa danych.
