Today we introduce AWS Storage Rabbit
AWS Storage Rabbit is a fully managed burrowing service that automatically tunnels through your data architecture to surface objects you didn't know you had stored, using proprietary warren-topology replication across a minimum of three Availability Zones whether you need it or not. Rabbit instances reproduce at a rate proportional to your S3 bucket count, and while the resulting storage capacity is handled for you, each warren requires its own IAM role, its own KMS key, and a separate resource policy that does not support wildcard principals for reasons that are documented in a re:Post answer from 2023 that has since been archived. Pricing is per-litter at $0.023 per GB for the first warren, with additional litters billed at the hutch level plus a $0.004 per-GB retrieval fee for any object located more than two tunnels from the access point; the Free Tier includes one rabbit for 12 months, after which it is considered a managed rabbit and billed accordingly.
