#Oxford #tomorrow, Wed. 8th., #Cowley orchestra is hosting a special feature evening with Elsa Vass-de-Zomba conducting #Schubert's Unfinished Symphony. All instruments welcome, free participation. That's at #TheOxfordAcademy in the Beecroft Theatre on the ground floor, meet at 7pm. (plenty of space even for listeners, even though we're not performing as such) #AmateurOrchestra #PlayForFun

6/6 pieces we played at #Cowley #Orchestra last Wednesday: Alexander #Borodin Prince Igor Polovtsian Dances. Borodin was obviously very important because he was both a chemist and a composer. We had a go at the Prince Igor dances before running out of time - may help to study the dance video to get a feeling for the spirit of the piece.
