@SebinNyshkim @GrayWuff Ahhh, yes! This is a good distinction I failed to make. I was speaking of the "Official" #Mastodon mobile apps for iOS and Android. They are, yes, somewhat limited. Third party apps typically have more robust feature sets, however they sometimes disappear without a trace… Like the #Amaroq app for iOS. 😭

Scusatemi per la domanda da niubbo. Qual è l’app migliore per usare Mastodon su iOS? Vedo che si parlava assai bene di #amaroq ma pare non sia più disponibile sullo store italiano. Io ho scaricato Tootle e Mastodon per Iphone e Ipad: la prima è più completa, la seconda è più pulita (almeno mi legge correttamente apostrofi e accenti), ma non mi fa vedere la timeline federata e gestisce solo parzialmente account multipli. Consigli? #newbie #mastodonapp #iOS

Frage: Nachdem ich heute Morgen noch zwei Tröts mit meiner #Amaroq App für iPhone absenden konnte, schließt die App sich jetzt sofort und ist nicht mal mehr im Appstore zu finden.
Mit welchen Mastodon Clients für iPhone habt ihr gute Erfahrungen gemacht? Weil ich mir jetzt nicht einfach IRGENDWAS installieren will. Und immer vom Mac aus dem Browser tröten ist auch nicht optimal.
Habt ihr ne Idee? -

It’s kind of disappointing that #Amaroq is still so many people's go-to Mastodon app (including me).
But I suppose you could look at it as a complement to the developer for creating such a well-rounded app that so many people still use it despite the fact that the app has not changed a whole lot since it was first released almost four years ago. :] -

però è sbagliato suggerire un'#app a pagamento per #iOS, sopratutto in una guida dedicata a chi non conosce #mastodon, meglio consigliare #Amaroq, che seppur non aggiornatissima rimane l'app più semplice e intuitiva per #iPhone
Lo sviluppatore la sta riscrivendo da zero, per questo è rimasta ferma per un bel po' di mesi... -

@Vale97 Toot! è di gran lunga la migliore app per #mastodon su #iPhone, vale ogni centesimo.
#Amaroq è sicuramente la più ben fatta fra le gratuite per #iOS ma è ancora indietro nello sviluppa, una grave pecca è la mancanza dei poll: non puoi votare nei sondaggi, ma dovrebbe uscire a breve una nuova versione completamente riscritta.
Se usi anche #twitter c'è #stella che ti permette di gestire entrambi gli account nei dispositivi mobili #apple.

One thing that does strike me about #Amaroq (and this might be partly familiarity) the UI feels "warmer" somehow
Other clients are very much geared toward engagement, quick access, and a plethora of features. But with Amaroq, I feel like I can take my time and enjoy writing

First toot back on #Amaroq
It still looks pretty much the sameI don't like the idea of using 2 different apps for Mastodon, but since Tootle still doesn't support image captions, it will have to do
Amaroq is probably overdue for an overhaul though. A lot of the core features are way behind almost all other clients
