  1. "So... Ya skint." Erik said carefully.

Agathya sighed, "Yes, but... No. No... I... I'm bored! I am bored of all of this. I came here to torture the city. Remember when we only met, to try to kill each other? It was so much fun! I miss... The danger, and the hatred, and everyone running from my shadow."

  3. I have been sitting on this story for 10 years. I just need to put it out into the world; maybe doing that will compel me to finish it.

  4. Spent 2½ hours writing. Only got 1,066 words done, but I kind of feel like I "left it all on the field" anyway. I went hard, but there's some stuff that I can't do anything more with until I figure out the parameters of how this particular magical thing works. I don't want to hand-wave it; I want it to follow understandable rules.

Anyway, it's only 21:15 and I'm quite wiped. (Oh, right, only got 6½ hours of sleep last night. That's indubitably a factor.)

  5. (In this case, the character used to advocate for walkability. But they just espoused the value of Uber, Waymo, and similar things, "So that people don't have to stand around waiting for Muni all the time." My answer is, "Why not make Muni come more often?" But, again... that's why they're a villain. They've lost the plot.) 2/2

  6. One of my villains just spontaneously betrayed some of their previously-held principles, and I am so here for it! (That's part of what makes them villains. They do things that are *objectively* bad.) 1/2

  7. My characters are having a scene at a Mexican restaurant, so I decided to get a Margarita to give me a little flavor of the scene while writing.

Not complaining, but this bar turns out to make their Margaritas larger than I was expecting.

And then a couple of sentences later, I realized that I need to work out some gnarly magic-system background stuff before I can figure out what's going on in this scene.

What am I gonna do with this huge Margarita?
