Hey folks. For alt text I need to make clear the difference between a compass (the thing that draws/measures circles) and a compass (that magnetic thing that shows the direction you're facing). How do you do that? I need to make sure it's clear I mean the first thing (the drawing thing). It's about an icon in the image.

Folks who know more about alt text than me, is this a good enough alt text? I just copied and pasted the "Transcript" section on this XKCD's explainxkcd page
It looks clunky to me, but I can't think of a better way to make alt text for it.

If I have a well known meme, like expanding brain or clown applying make up, is it better to just give the name of the meme, or is it better to describe the meme? I can see a case for both, and since I don't use it, I can't tell which makes more sense.
