Два месяца, восемь раундов проверки Apple: два реджекта App Review и два реджекта нотаризации для альтернативного маркетплейса. Что выяснилось: контент на нотаризации действительно не смотрят - механика, зарубленная в App Store по Guideline 1.2, прошла четыре раза. Но формальные гайдлайны применяются: нас отклонили по 2.1 (ключ ATT без промпта) и по 4.8 (ревьюер открыл нашу веб-страницу входа и потребовал Sign in with Apple). Плюс цифры по срокам из App Store Connect: первая нотаризация шла неделю, последняя - 3 часа 46 минут.

I created #CastLab after coming back from holidays. I just wanted to cast my media to my TV and could not find a simple open source app for that, so I built one.

It has grown since: it supports #Kodi and the open source #FCast protocol. I was even surprised to see it also used to cast music to network speakers.

I will keep working on your feedback. Only on #FDroid, but it could be brought to #iOS if people are interested (through #AltStorePAL).

Apple zablokowało możliwość pobierania aplikacji iTorrent z alternatywnego sklepu AltStore PAL w Unii Europejskiej – podaje TorrentFreak.

iTorrent i podobne aplikacje, jak qBitControl, były dostępne od lipca 2024 r., omijając ograniczenia oficjalnego App Store dzięki przepisom Digital Markets Act.

Od lipca 2025 r. część użytkowników zgłaszała brak możliwości pobrania aplikacji. Twórca iTorrent, Daniil Vinogradov, poinformował, że Apple cofnęło prawa dystrybucji, nie podając jasnej przyczyny. Firma tłumaczy jedynie, że aplikacje muszą przechodzić proces notaryzacji – kontrolę pod kątem złośliwego oprogramowania i oszustw.

Na razie nie wiadomo, czy decyzja Apple wynikała z problemów bezpieczeństwa, czy była arbitralna. AltStore PAL również czeka na wyjaśnienia od Apple, które zapowiedziało dalsze „sprawdzenie sprawy”.

I became a subscriber again because of this, usually I don't want access to beta stuff but this made me realize I like what @rileytestut and @shanegillio does so much I need to support it.

Another great thing they did recently was enable NDS multiplayer in Delta. Hopefully someone can do 3DS next although I'm not sure the foundation is in place for that.

Giving today's kids access to better games (with multiplayer) than the gamified casino crap which dominates is an important service to the world.

And gaming aside, the whole AltStore PAL and related work to try to make Apple a better platform (against the will of Apple who just want to make it a more profitable one) is another reason for supporting them.
