@wind-berlin.bsky.social Vorhin war diese #Punch-Hole-Cloud am Himmel zu sehen. Die Wassertröpfchen in diesem #Altocumulus sind unterkühlt. Fliegt nun z.B. ein Flugzeug durch, kristallisieren die Wassertröpfchen und fallen als Eiskristalle aus, so dass ein "Loch" entsteht. #cavum #wolken

Once again our warmest day of the year here in #Dorset with a high of 30.7°C.
There are now some interesting lines of #Altocumulus #castellanus (Ac cas) building from the SW signalling change ahead.

Tuo eilinen auringonlasku oli erityisen jännä siinä mielessä, että aurinko pääsi valaisemaan pilvien alapintoja varsin ahtaasta raosta. Tilanne oli siis punaisuudestaan huolimatta aikas hämärä. Lisäksi pilvet oli tuolloin kohtuullisen korkealla, joten ne saivat valoa sopivan kauan vielä auringonlaskun jälkeen. Sitten vielä pilvistä tippuva jääkide virga (sade joka ei yllä maahan asti) toi oman utuisen elementtinsä kokonaisuuteen. Tässä vielä laajempi kuva yhdestä kohtaa. Virgaa oli todella paljon.
