#theMadMaggies is not a cover band but we did record one album of vintage hits.
Here from that album is our version of the 1966 hit by Bobby Moore & the Rhythm Aces with Chico Jenkins.
"Searching for My Love "

The alt & tenor sax are wonderful instruments to play. The way they feel in your hands (esp the tenor) is something you can't describe. Even if you can (not) play one note, get to hold a saxophone and feel how awsome amazing and powerful it feels
You will cherish that moment for life

Musical Interlude: And now something to carry us all away....Earl Bostic had a short life but his skill with the sax has rarely been equaled. He straddled the line between R&B and jazz, creating a unique sound. Here he is in a track from 1958, back when pop culture was space-crazy after the launch of Sputnik in '57.
"Up There in Orbit," performed by Earl Bostic.

If you love Jamaican ska from the late 50s/early 60s, have a listen to our version of a Baba Brooks classic "Vitamin A" Lots of horns. Even, a bass clarinet! And, yes, an accordion because accordions belong everywhere. ;-)
