Absolutely fantastic talk from Dr Cyriac Abby Philips, 'the liver doc' yest.
Treating patients young and old who have complex liver failure issues due to the ayurvedic remedies India's powerful cultural network of quacks gives to people, people who are just concerned for their health and that of their children.
Babies with mercury poisoning. A teen w alcoholic cirrhosis. Arsenic poisoning.
Horrific. Please support him https://www.skeptic.org.uk/2025/10/dr-cyriac-abby-philips-wins-2025-skeptical-activism-ockham-award/ #skeptics #traditionalMedicine #altMed #CAM #QEDcon

Just did #TracyGodek's Awareness Through Movement lesson from 2005 called Translating Pelvis On Elbows And Knees as found on the OpenATM site.
Lesson not suited to anyone who'll move outside their range of comfort & ease during the lesson. Shoulders & knees could easily then get stressed.
But I seem to have been intelligent enough this time and feel more fluid in my movements and less background anxiety. :-)
Warning: #Wikipedia has this as #AltMed?

#Chelation therapy is either 1) a legitimate medical treatment for diagnosed heavy metal poisoning, or 2) a pseudoscientific practice whereby certain substances (usually #EDTA or deferoxamine) are administered to a patient to "clear them of toxins".
In chemistry, "coordination" is the formation of a relatively weak bond between a metal ion and another substance called a "ligand" to form a "coordination complex". "Chelation" is a type of coordination where the ligand has multiple sites ("teeth") with which to bind to the metal, which makes the complex significantly more stable. A commonly encountered chelating agent is citric acid, which is a useful rust remover owing to its ability to chelate to iron. Chelation therapy is medically useful in heavy metal poisoning when the coordination complex is less toxic or more easily eliminated than the metal itself. …
