#Althea is an excellent project, clearly one of the best in the space.

If I remember correctly, they are using a system where certain nodes are "blessed" by a central authority as "internet gateways" and all traffic flowing to and from them is paid for by the other party.

Using this, an ethereum token, and babeld for routing, they were able to get internet out to people very quickly which is awesome.

On the cjdns/PKT side, we're sacrifice some rollout speed for design scalability.

@cjd Thank you! I'm going to do some reading on these things you mentioned before I ask more questions. Except one 🙂 I hadn't heard of #pkt before, but I had heard of #Althea, which perhaps in a broad sense has similar goals. I'm curious how you'd compare pkt to Althea?
