Allport's theory shows how small acts of bias can snowball into serious harmful acts if not addressed.

It has 5 Phases:
-  Anti locution  - casual negative talk, jokes, stereotypes, derogatory comments  
-  Avoidance  -  excluding people
-  Discrimination  - prejudice turns to action   
-  Physical attack  - hostility escalates to violence
- Extermination   - history has a habit of repeating itself
