Whether this is about ActivityPub or not is of little consequence to us. All we see is that without some level of #participation/input from peers to help serve specific content (images and video), it is quite obvious that the #Fediverse will trend back towards re-centralisation.We call on #I2P developers to explore how they can make something like #GlutPlug work in fediverse clients like #Tokodon (possibly #Fedilab too, but #AllPhonesAreBad so maybe not).

Great effort here!We have come to the point of realising that there are no #ethicalPhones. All of them require proprietary bits to power the #wifi and #radio components.
Thus all #smartphones are unable to be used in our view.
This might just be an #Australia problem, however and your country might be okay, but we sincerely doubt it. It appears to be a global problem.

Is #Fairphone helping us with our #allPhonesAreBad hashtag? -
@gabriel
This sounds like code for, "We have already been doing this for a decade but we just need a veil of legitimacy so the plebs know their place, shut up and go home.Everyone should know how to make a #FaradayCase for their oversized, "#smartphone" (read: tracking device).

Apparently it is news that #AmazonRing and Apple #iPhones are #malware?
Amazon #Ring (but its just a few bad employees targetting #women though):

@Yostme
Sorry for the late response.The #InviziblePro app sounds like a compelling solution that one can use mobile devices, with the help of friends at #FDroid.
Unfortunately, it seems #Australia don't allow ethical #telephony devices into the country. What we mean when we say that is devices that can easily be flashed with ethical #FOSS firmware. Otherwise it would be a contender.
Today we prescribe to #APAB or #AllPhonesAreBad.

People that insist on putting their #smartphone in your #freezer when they visit you are salt of the earth.

Researcher does his best to not offend the #technoFeudalists, but we see no errs or umms about it - #GoOGlE IS EVIL.
> "These (…) studies also note the opaque nature of this #dataCollection by Google, with there being no public documentation, use of binary encoded payloads and obfuscated code."
TL/DR: Ggle were doing everything they could to hide.

All. Phones. Are. Bad.
(just a reminder)
Also interesting to learn that #car entertainment systems leak your data to #lawEnforcement.
That news just slipped right on by.

If your best judgement leads you to conclude that, effectively, all phones are bad, please start using that phrase. Consider the hashtag, #APAB.
Together we can turn things around.

@NatCor
We are considering starting an #AllPhonesAreBad campaign.Aka #APAB, *wink*

@resist1984
Quite right, we've improved our organisational skills in a number of small ways but that is an area we've not considered.Fedilab have a notes section. These days though we're cautious about mentioning Fedilab, dev appears to be taken over by interests that feel its more important to lock out #Android4p0 to 4.4 users with smaller devices.
There's even a danger #FDroid will drop older phones. Once that happens we'll be pushing #APAB (#AllPhonesAreBad).

@fsmi
Hi FSMI,Thanks for this great resource.
Recently we noticed that #Android10 don't allow users to encrypt their own device. It says something like #GoogleEncrypted and the user cannot change the setting.
This is really bad.
Out-of-the-box #Google encryption means no #encryption, in our opinion.
We wonder whether it's worth owning a #smartdevice today. Maybe an #AllPhonesAreBad (#APAB) campaign is needed. Similar to ACAB, but aimed at the extreme threat posed by #closedTech.
