Because that's what the "all of the above energy technologies" proposal are like.
They include things that are actively harmful and we're better off not doing.
Also, "lets try everything and see what sticks" is a shit investment strategy when you can rule out a lot of things by analysing them beforehand.

@cshentrup I do not disagree deeply there, and cetaily have no authority in this = but I would point out cycling is a net positive for community health and healthcare costs (even vs sitting on a couch, not just vs. driving a car), so I think i could be a positive externality.
But in any case I am for #AllOfTheAbove. Esp, when most places are so #carbrain they won't even admit how much cars are already subsidized, let alone have the will to abolish those subsidies.

@kaydenpat Biden doubling down on oil production isn't the sell you think it is, but yet another way both establishment US parties screw everyone under 50 (in the US and around the world) for the sake of propping up record-breaking billionaire profits just a little longer.
The horrific irony is that a less right-wing Democratic Party would have a better chance electorally too.
If the #DNC actually wanted to defeat #fascism in the USA, rather than walk the slightly slower path towards it, they wouldn't be supporting an ongoing #genocide of brown people by arming #Israel, they wouldn't be expanding the powers of the #police and #surveillance state (and #SurveillanceCapitalism), and they wouldn't be pursuing their #AllOfTheAbove energy policy, locking in #ClimateCrisis for every generation we can imagine into the future.
