Do I like spending time outdoors in nature?In the beforetime, when I was young and my back didn't hurt, I took my vacation 1 week ending the 3rd weekend in August--a full week near Pittsburgh, PA at the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) War. My hubby did it too. Later, we did it together.
Over time I discovered that I hated camping. And I'm allergic to grass & trees. Esp. near the War.
I prefer manicured gardens. Or concrete.

CW: Boring allergy stuff
Over a year ago I discovered that I'm #allergic to #formaldehyde. It is in pretty much _everything_ and is so hard to avoid: it goes under many names and is often released over time by #preservatives.
However, I only recently learned that is why I am sensitive to fragrances, too. Even if you check the label this #allergen is rarely listed, instead hidden under the "#fragrance" label. Other times formaldehyde isn't even an ingredient but it's created when you spray a product.

You know, I found out a few weeks ago I'm #allergic to #gold. I'll still wear it because all my stuff is #10k and #14k and alloys bother me less, and #24k is hardly sold anymore nowadays. I'd agree, but there seems to be a large slice of the population (at least in Canada/USA, not sure elsewhere) that is #allergic to second-hand goods -- they're actively creeped-out at the thought of touching, much less using, someone else's pre-owned things.
This attitude mostly didn't exist when I was growing up. How did we teach youngsters to be afraid of #used?
