Mechanisms within _Alien: The Roleplaying Game_ incentivize players to have their characters work under **strain**. Accumulating stress initially helps characters succeed, but too much stress causes them to (mechanically) panic. It’s an interesting elevation of the stress/panic idea of _Mothership_, because stress isn’t always bad, encouraging players to engage with it.

Direkt am Montag den 2.2. gibt es DSA mit DnD-Regeln passend zum kommenden Crowdfunding von @uhrwerk_verlag . Aber nicht nur das Außen ist eine Gefahr, die Probleme im Inneren können schnell bedrohlich werden, da Hilfe (und Rettung) nicht einfach verfügbar sind. Wilson hat scheinbar die Montero abgekoppelt, überall auf dem Schiff sind seltsame schwarze Sporen, Cham und Kyla wurden von einem Raumanzug angegriffen. Wrapped up Alien RPG. Two characters survived, and the ending was insane. Everyone had a lot of fun, and we'll definitely play more Alien RPG in the future.

Just GMed Alien RPG: The group split up. While one PC was scanned, using one of the MedPods, they discovered several tumorous growths and a growing bloodburster within her torso.

The other group attempted to secure weapons, which they did, but drew the attention, and are now being attacked, by an Adult Neomorph. Fun fact: That combat will take place in zero gravity, as the ship's energy systems will go offline for about a few minutes.

So... I just plugged a rogue AI into our ship after MUTHER went offline. What can possibly go wrong.

The characters have pulled the "main chip" from a broken Weyland-Yutani android, Ava 6, in order to extract information from it. In the meantime, they are attempting to fix the android.

Ava's primary directive is to help and protect humans. This might change after MU/TH/UR meddles with her programming, as the chip is being inserted into the ship's main console. What is going to happen after they re-insert the chip into Ava?

In order to progress, they need to take risks. And only by taking those risks, can they skew the odds in their favour. Yet, they're still trying to play it safe, in a situation where being overly careful is fatal.

So, for the next session, I'll have:

a) the ships' life support systems (along with gravity and light) fail at a critical moment
b) the PCs have a run-in with a Beluga Head (Neomorph)
c) one infected PC birth a Bloodburster

in order to force their hand.

Also, all players wanted to play as cats in an Alien RPG scenario. So I'm likely going to run a Christmas scenario in December (either a one-shot or 2-3 session adventure) where they will take the roles of cats, as all hell is breaking loose on a space station.

Third session is over. The characters fought an NPC that turned into an abomination, and started to slam one of the PCs (an elderly roughneck) into the ground. The kid of the group, who sees the roughneck as a mother figure, killed the abomination by using a shard from a broken cryo-chamber glass cover.

Another NPC was killed by a mysterious entity on the ship (Neomorph). The PCs found this out by stumbling upon the NPCs severed arm.

Almost game time. I need to get into character. The problem is I don't like this character. He's a freshly minted officer with superior attitude, a firm belief in doctrine, and an unique morality. His one redeeming trait is that he is all about keeping his team safe.

Second session is over. The characters managed to evade the bloodburster (who almost killed a PC), the Montero blew up, and our pilot rolled a spectacular 4 successes to navigate it out of range and return to the Cronus with the "Daisy".

A viscerally hated NPC also died, and one of the players (an extremely shy and kind person) went "Good, I'm glad he's dead". Much to the delight of the rest of the group.
