@lpl @Kitty It was a name of a spaceship from #AlfredBester's novel "The Stars My Destination" (or "Tiger! Tiger!", depending on the edition). One of my faves, recommended read, even if some of the names sound...odd these days, e.g. a heroine is called Jiz 🤷‍♀️

I was just sent a #Norwescon 3 (1980) program to scan into the @norwescon online archives. As I flipped through it, I realized that the contributor had used it to collect autographs!

I'm a huge fan of the #EartseaCycle by #UrsulaKLeGuin

Other favorite authors include #NeilGaiman #PhilipKDick #AlfredBester #GeneWolfe #NealStephenson & #OrsonScottCard

#IsaacAsimov and #RobertAHeinlein were great & prolific writers with fantastic characters and plots, but it can be difficult to get past their sexism.

I just finished #Elantris by #BrandonSanderson which was excellent
