The fruits of austerity - at last the Government have realised that we don't have enough prison places after a decade or more of cost-cutting:
'The Justice Secretary Alex Chalk has announced new measures that will allow the government to rent prison cells overseas to ensure dangerous offenders can be locked up for longer.'

#Cheltenham won't accept racism #AlexChalk
Defending the racist comments of #30pLee is not acceptable.
The good people of Cheltenham can see now who you really are.

When a government undertakes a wholesale campaign against those who can give us justice, this is called #fascism
In the #UK the attack on #LeftyLawyers by #Sunak and his government shows their weakness, their only defence is to destroy #Justice for people, destroy #HumanRights and destroy our country
Even my local #MP #AlexChalk (he's previously been a moderate), this week was defending #30pLee that we should send #refugees back to France

Please offer your support for Jacqueline Mackenzie & all the hard working legal teams who are fighting to support #Refugees & #AsylumSeekers
She was subject to a "flagrant attack on me and my work, built on misinformation and mischaracterisation and underpinned by racism and misogyny, (it) is a dark day for our political sphere"

Aha, Justice secretary #AlexChalk has launched (a relatively expected) attack on 'lefty lawyers':
'In the last 10 years there’s been a growing & I think regrettable trend for lawyers to actively parade their politics and identify more with their clients... [& it would be] much better for lawyers in the main to keep their politics to themselves'!
So, if I had a #lawyer I'd be wanting them to identify with me not the Govt.
But of course a failing (& unjust) policy must be someone else's fault!

#HomeOffice #UK spending more resources on a few rogue immigration advisors, after a Daily Mail article.
Instead they should be dealing with the 92k backlog of applications, leaving some of the most vulnerable people in desperate situations for years, when they could be working and contributing to our country.
#AlexChalk & #Suella #Braverman have their hands dirty again
