This #MurderEveryMonday is crime fiction set in #Scotland
I've just read The Edinburgh Murders (more on my blog) and I'm reading the short story collection The Edinburgh Mystery edited by Martin Edwards, but I decided to go with the Sunday Philosophy Club series by #AlexanderMcCallSmith.
Isabel Dalhousie is a philosopher and an editor of a scientific journal, lives in #Edinburgh, and has a fox in her garden. There's a lack of "bad" characters in this series, and besides following Isabel unreveling mysteries, the series is very much character driven, so we also follow the moral and ethical decisions Isabel is confronted daily, as well as life changes of the characters.
There's a strong reflection both from the city of Edinburgh and the people who live there in the series.
I didn't read all the books yet (next is The Forgotten Affairs of Youth), but I'm working through the collection and in spite of not very "crime focused" as others, I must say it's one of my favorite series.
