📍Eggishorn, SwitzerlandAbove the sides of the current Great Aletsch #Glacier it’s elevation in 1870 is clearly visible at the vegetation line. Since then, this glacier has rapidly lost over 100 meters in thickness and 2.5 km in length. It continues to retreat dramatically fast today.
