  1. Today's listening:

    Djrum - Under Tangled Silence

Jeezy creezy was this good. Especially the last run of songs, from "Three Foxes Chasing Each Other" onward. Take every major genre of electronic music and shake it up with nods to classical and ECM-like piano improvisations. Moments that resonate with sounds that are often getting labeled "ambient jazz" right now (Nala Sinephro, Eli Ketzler). A real journey of an album, with an emotional range that I found immensely moving and loads of fun.

I'd heard really good things about this, a bit annoyed at myself for not getting to it sooner, but super glad I listened today. Can't wait to listen again.

Immediately followed with another of my favorite electronic-ish records this year, "Mapambazuko" by Ale Hop & Titi Bakorta. For whatever reason, Djrum's record made me think of this one. Would highly recommend the combo.

  6. #SANAM is echt ronduit vreselijk. 😱

#AleHop & #LauraRobles zouden live wel eens heel interessant kunnen worden:

Dan moeten we #RuhailQaisar missen, maar dat is helemaal niet erg.

  7. New #review today: "#AleHop is Peruvian multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Alejandra Cárdenas, now operating from Berlin, who we introduced Exposé readers to with her earlier solo album Apophenia back in 2019, a mix of dark and dreamy ambient sounds with an experimental bent... #LauraRobles is a percussionist who was born in Swaziland, grew up in Peru, and is now, like Ale Hop, operating from Berlin." #ExposeOnline #ElectronicMusic expose.org/index.php/articles/
