I selected a progressive masterpiece from #OkGoodnight. Casey Lee Williams' vocals, the mix of lightweight arrangements and sometimes almost brutal sounds – that's the blend that makes it a perfect fit for this category in my opinion.

So the first award of #AlbumOddTheYear2023 the BEST ALBUM OF 2023 FROM AN ISLAND OR A SMALL POPULATION COUNTRY award goes to Swarf Damage for their self titled debut album #SwarfDamage

I stumbled across them by pure chance and was immediately blown away. It will be very high up my AOTY list this year.

The Isle of Man, or "Manx" as the locals call it, has a remarkable metal/music scene that is worth checking out.

So this award also goes to the Island itself, congratulations 👏🤘
