  1. Carter IV - Lil Wayne

Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne's ninth album, released in 2011, features pop, rock, and rap collaborations with artists such as Drake, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Nas, and Bruno Mars. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with over 964,000 copies sold. I consider it a tremendous project: for me, it represents a better approach to rap, more mature and more effective than his other works.

  2. Linda Perry held nothing back on Let It Die Here: not sonically, not emotionally.

In her first album since 1999’s After Hours, Perry delivers the most personal record of her career. Full review here 👇

  3. Just dove into Pink Breath of Heaven’s debut Colors Make a Sound and man… it’s a full-on sonic journey. Dreamy shoegaze walls, Liv Field’s soaring vocals, and Rex Shelverton’s hypnotic guitars that pull you in and won’t let go.

Kacey Musgraves - Middle of Nowhere (Lost Highway, 2026)

No mainstream artist has captured my heart like Spacey Kacey over eight years. Classic country → disco → cottage core → electro-pop. I ride with it.

Iconic! I was reminded again of this song by our “From The Archives” post this week. The way they make rock so accessible really makes this song a hit. To think the drummer only has one arm too… Incredible.

Architects are a real hit and miss band for me, and one band that I am yet to see live. However that is something that will change this year thankfully. This song is a firm favourite of mine and that start to the song gets me ready for my gym sets everytime.

Fall Out Boy – We Didn’t Start The Fire

I love the original Billy Joel version, but I’m happy that one of my favourite bands made an updated version

    Jimi Hendrix – Purple Haze

Started listening to more classic rock lately, can’t beat a bit of Hendrix

    Finger Eleven – Paralyzer.

The chorus of this song is absolutely huge! With a funky bass and guitar tone throughout this goes much heavier than the instruments give off. I know no more songs by the band, but I dont know why as this is ace.

Bring Me The Horizon – Shadow Moses.

This was the golden era of the band for me! Still had that hard edge but were beginning to really come into their own songwriting wise. Also the misheard lyric of “This is sandpit turtle” makes me giggle everytime!
