Saying goodbye to West Liguria (la Liguria di ponente), my beloved motherland.
This place is thorn by indifference, one of the oldest populations in Europe, worrying corruption, overtourism and many other invisible plagues.
Yet, it is still a raw, sincere, corner of this mad country, where creatures continue to resist and hope.
If you want to get a taste of what it is like, join us on 26-30 August 2026 at Scambi Festival, one of the only two cultural events organised by under-30s in this side of the region (the other is Brucia Festival and it’s happening next week!) 🔥
My theorem is proven every time I come back here: Sanremo is gorgeous and even exciting for up to 10 days. The 11th you just want to get out of there—but not forever ❤️

Anche nuovo: From today, the evening Regionale Veloce service from #Milano 20:25 🇮🇹 to #Alassio 23:59 has been extended to #Ventimiglia 00:50 on Fridays and Saturdays, creating a year-round direct regional service Milano-Ventimiglia.
Until now, direct regional services ran only during the summer period ('Treni del Mare'). The train departs from Milano C.le 20 min later than the last direct IC service of the day with a journey time ~30 min longer.
