Did a solid 12 miles today on the CZ Trail here in Oregon with the #alaskanhusky Yoté. The sun was out yet the temperature was cool. This is my favorite kind of running weather.

Yesterday was a lovely day out on the Crown Zellerbach trail with the #alaskanhusky Yoté. 20 miles total for me and 21.26 for her, done in 5 OABs from the Nehalem Divide TH. A little rain, a little sun, and some solid running.
Also, so many snails, which I kept trying to photograph using portrait mode and kept failing to get the snails in focus…the one here is the best one I got.

Yoté the #alaskanhusky ran a total of 48 miles this past week, including 10 on Saturday and 20 on Sunday. Total #trailrunning dog crusher. She then crushed about 5 cups of food post 20 mile run…a typically picky eater, she did not say no to anything we gave her yesterday.

My long run was cut short by 8-10” snow drifts on the Gales Creek trail. What was supposed to be 14 became just under 8, and I am pretty happy about that. Always fun to watch Yoté run in the snow, though. The Garmin I strapped to her harness gave her just over 8 miles. Fun times!

I finally got my act together and set up my old Garmin Fenix 3HR so I can see how much my dog runs during my long runs. I am guessing it will not be completely accurate as all the software was designed for human activity, and I think it will be cool…as long as the battery lasts. Likely a 3.5 hour day out on the trail. I think I was getting 6 hours by the time I stopped using it…we shall see
