👉 Can't attract developers who expect them as standard👉 Benchmark salaries against firms that bundle tooling as compensation
👉 Signal cultural lag in recruiting pipelines
Its is a labour market dynamic, not a productivity one. The pressure is real but the mechanism is reputational/recruitment, not measurable output delta.
