Meh. The first "AI: The Somnium Files" game was nice, the second had SO much potential but it was clear they had to use blunt force on the lore to make it work and it's both an Opera and QTE cannon (the best thing about the gameplay is the CTRL key - skipping forwards - also working in QTE fight and singing scenes).
Hope the third game dials back on all the singing and QTEs and focuses more on coherent story-telling and puzzles.

I have created a full relationship chart for all of the characters in AI: The Somnium Files.
I did this because I realized that Tearer and Iris are siblings(?!) and the game simply never mentions this.
After completing that, I realized that there are only a handful of people left out (the Enda family, Riichi, Kizuna, Lien, Ota, Gen, Moma, Rohan, and Mama). Admittedly that's a lot, but it was already complicated and the only one I couldn't really figure out how to connect was Mama.
I didn't bother with friendship connections (like half of the cast are all friends with each other!) except where it's particularly notable. (Ota is Iris's friend, Gen is Amame's friend)
So when Iris thinks that Naix is trying to kill her in the first game (they weren't), her half-brother's adopted mother is the leader of Naix. (Tokiko would be Iris's pseudo-aunt?)

Zostajemy w produkcjach japońskich i dzięki mojej kochanej żonie, w moje ręce trafiło fizyczne wydanie #AITheSomniumFiles. Import wprost z Kraju Kwitnącej Wiśni, jako że zachodnie wydanie do specjalnie dostępnych nie należy, a ichniejsze posiada napisy również po angielsku.
Tytuł który przewijał mi się przed nosem już kilka razy, ale ostatnio dopiero sprawdziłem demo (akurat na Nintendo Switch) i formuła kupiła mnie z miejsca. Cyberpunk i „zabawa” w detektywa? Biorę pięć!
Ciekawostka – za grę odpowiada Kotaro Uchikoshi, znany niektórym z innych tytułów, jak „999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors”, „Never7” i „Ever17”. Te dwa ostatnie dostaną w 2025 remaster 👇🏻
