just throwing my 2 cents into the #vpn choices and based on what i've looked at in the last few days.
(yes i'm moving away from #mullvad not in a cutting off my nose to spite my face sort of way)i've looked at the following and i've decided not to go with : #ivpn, #windscribe
i also avoided #kagi (incidentally also partnered with ws with discounts) which has AI , based in US and a paid model that I suspect I'll still be the product even though I paid. Either way, i've tested the free search and I don't find it life changing great.
the ones that made the 'okay' list was : #njalla, #xeovo, #riseup, #airvpn
i wasn't able to find (easily) a list of server locations with #njalla,
njalla, riseup and xeovo needed some sort of tech knowledge to get started, and its not ideal as i needed to get this for the household and mobiles.
only airvpn was one of the remaining that may had dubious twitter past. but it was the only choice left that had the server location i needed, so this was where i eventually land. mind, airvpn requires you to register with an account, so if you are worried about this, it's not for you. i don't use them for anonymity.
tbh, if xeovo had locations and native app setup, i will jump on it. right now it just felt like a compromise.

När det gäller att undvika spårning och insamling av data när det gäller internet så är det viktigt att använda säkra webbläsare och sökmotorer. Dessutom är det mycket bra att använda en VPN. Och vid användning av en VPN bör det från en leverantör som inte är under US-amerikanska lag, kopplad till USA eller Kina etc. Många använder NordVPN, Mullvad VPN eller Proton VPN.

Ostatnio miałem (a raczej głównie moja żona) problem ze #Stremio i myślałem, że to wina #RealDebrid. Zacząłem nawet już rozważać zakup #AirVPN, żeby obejść konieczność używania RD. Finał jest taki, że zbadałem sprawę i podobno to samo #Torrentio było problemem i zaliczało downtime'y. Przez najbliższe dni potestuję alternatywy i dam znać.

Người dùng cài đặt homelab với gluetun + AirVPN để stream media và kiểm tra rò rỉ thông tin. Kết quả:✅ Torrent bị dừng khi service gluetun ngừng chạy → có killswitch
✅ IP và DNS hiển thị đúng quốc gia VPN
⚠️ Công cụ kiểm tra DNS cho thấy thông báo "DNS có thể đang rò rỉ"**Lưu ý:** Báo động DNS cần kiểm tra lại cài đặt DNS trong container gluetun, đồng nhất với tunnel VPN. Nên cấu hình `/etc/resolv.conf` và dùng DNS riêng của VPN provider.

Für eigene Verbindungen die offizielle #Wireguard app verwenden. Alternativ evtl kleinere Projekte wie #WGTunnel https://github.com/zaneschepke/wgtunnel oder #RethinkDNS (was noch viel mehr kann). OpenVPN auch okay.
Alles andere ist Schwachsinn, Firmen sollen aufhören irgendwelche komischen proprietären Anwendungen zu nutzen.
