I'm one of those people that still has a non-streaming music library stored locally, so I had set up #Airsonic to manage my #music library and manage conversion from #flac and other music formats for playback on mobile.

To scratch my own itch, I configured Airsonic to convert my FLAC music transparently to #opus on download, and shared my config.

I have an external drive attached to my home server for music. Music is played via #airsonic (I know this is abandoned, I didn't find a nice alternative yet).

The disk does not go to sleep as it does normally after about 10? minutes.

Is this an issue? How to resolve it?

Is there a possibility to use #airsonic to stream to a device?

Use case: my living room sound setup is nice. I want to plug some device into it, e.g. a raspberry pi, or something even smaller (because why run such a powerful device for effectively playing a music stream) and then control what that device plays using the normal #airsonic / #subsonic compatible app on my phone.

Or maybe this is super simple and I just didn't "get" how it is supposed to work yet...?

Ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Musikstreaming-Server für mein Netzwerk. Dieser soll das aktuell genutzte #Airsonic ersetzen. Installiert soll es per #Docker werden.

• #AirsonicAdvanced funktioniert genau so "zuverlässig" wie Airsonic selber.
• #Navidrom hat keine Ordneransicht
• #mstream kann scheinbar keine Playlists erstellen

I'm looking for #airsonic alternatives. I usually don't care much about UX/UI, but airsonic's user interface is so unbearably ugly and counterintuitive, that I would love to try something else.

Leider sind alle genannten Projekte tot. Forks und Alternativen gibts wie Sand am Meer, insbesondere mit dem subsonic Protokoll, welche davon hat sich

_ gegen die modernen Apps aus F-Droid_
_bei Euch bewährt_

@dada J’utilise aussi #Ultrasonic mais avec #Airsonic-Advanced. C’est comment la lecture de la musique depuis #Nextcloud ? D’un point de vue interface, gestion des morceaux favoris et des playlists.

@cliffwade Is plain YouTube what you call YouTube Music, I don't have any special account with it. Also, almost quarter of time it is actually #AirSonic on my home server.

Ya no recomiendo #Subsonic , #Airsonic ni #Airsonic-Advanced como servidor de música, han quedado obsoletos/abandonados, mejor implementa #Ampache , hace lo mismo pero más eficiente y rápido, y soporta por igual la API de subsonic para todas esas apps compatibles con ella

@Cheatha Mir wurde auch immer und immer wieder "Layla" in die Vorschläge gepackt. Passt voll in die Metal Playliste. Oder in die "Elektro" Playliste...
Egal. Hat mich aber veranlasst meine Eigene MP3-Sammlung mal aufzupolieren, zu sortieren, und nen eigenen Streaming Server einzurichten. Läuft bisher super :)

I started out this morning listening to some chill songs by #Air. Then I decided to let the Airsonic app make a mix based that. It does a pretty good job. Cued up some #Tosca #Morcheeba #Tycho #Bonobo #Röyksopp #Goldfrapp #GotanProject etc.
