Dolphins AND helicopters in the one afternoon??? An outrageous day on the water near #Inverness today onboard the Dolphin Mischief RIB. Some close encounters with the dolphins including a youngster then a big male called "Scoopy" coming over to see us. After that our local HM Coastguard chopper doing a bit of winch practise with a fuel tanker from Inverness Harbour. Have a lovely weekend folks 🤗 #dolphins #nature #helicopter #HMCoastguard #AirSeaRescue #EmergencyServices

Lockheed C-130E, Pakistan Air Force. The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is one of the most widely used transport aircraft in the world. Built by Lockheed (now Lockheed Martin), the type first flew in 1954, almost SEVENTY years ago! Transport, gunship, tanker, air sea rescue aircraft - its versatility is legendary. Here we see a C-130E of the Pakistan Air Force on display at the Royal International Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford. #airdisplay #aircraft #PakistanAirForce #Pakistan #turboprop #RAFFairford #Fairford #Hercules #C130 #Lockheed #LockheedMartin #RIAT #RoyalInternationalAirTattoo #tanker #gunship #transport #airsearescue #military #photography #aviation

This Westland Lysander is shown wearing a typical Army Co-operation/Air Sea Rescue colour scheme. A successful STOL aircraft, it first flew in 1936. Its most significant role, however, was as a covert liaison aircraft, delivering and picking up SOE agents and those fleeing the Gestapo during WW2 from small fields in Occupied Europe, at night. It has been known to carry three - in an emergency, four - 'Joes' or passengers in the rear cockpit. This example is owned by the RAF Museum, and has been removed from the London site for restoration. #RAFMuseum, #museum #avgeek #aviation #WW2 #history #photography #WestlandAircraft #ArmyCooperation #AirSeaRescue #SOE #secretagents #Gestapo #OccupiedEurope #Europe #RoyalAirForce #STOL #aircraft #SpecialOperationsExecutive #London
