  1. Longest runways at American commercial airports

Listed below are the longest runways at commercial airports in the United States. The minimum length for inclusion is 10,000 feet. AS can be seen, 10,000 feet is the most common length, followed by 10,001 feet.

Several smaller markets have length runways including Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Roswell, Lincoln, Salina, Portsmouth, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach. Many of these are the result of the airport also being the site of an active or former air force base.

The airports with the most runways of 10,000 feet or longer are Dallas-Fort Worth International and Chicago O’Hare with four (4) each.

    Peace!
