  1. DH98 Mosquito FB.VI This fine restoration is on display at the De Havilland Aircraft Museum, at Salisbury Hall, London Colney. The heavy armament of the type is shown here, with the 4 x 303" Browning machine guns and the 4 x 20mm Hispano cannon demonstrating the fearsome punch of this WW2 fighter-bomber. DHAM also has two other Mosquitoes on display. The People's Mosquito is currently building an FB.VI to flight status; see www.peoplesmosquito.org.uk #DHAM #dehavilland #DeHavillandAircraftMuseum #WW2 #fighterbomber #RAF #RoyalAirForce #LondonColney #UK #England #museum #aircraft #avgeek #aircraftphotography #photography #ThePeoplesMosquito #history #aviation #aircraftrestoration

  2. A good view of a navigator at the bombsight of a De Havilland Mosquito. The Mosquito was initially proposed to the Royal Air Force as an unarmed, extremely fast, twin-engined bomber. It went on to also serve as a fighter, nightfighter, fighter-bomber, photoreconnaissance aircraft, target tug, naval strike aircraft, trainer, fast courier aircraft and more. There are no flying examples in Europe, but The People's Mosquito (a Registered Charity) is currently restoring one to flight status - see www.peoplesmosquito.org.uk for details. #DeHavilland, #Mosquito #WW2 #SecondWorldWar #RoyalAirForce #RAF #bomber #trainer #fighter #TPM #ThePeoplesMosquito #aircraftrestoration #aircraft #aviation #avgeek #history
