    I will be sharing thoughts and practise on the connections between #aikido and the Japanese sword, particularly #iaido, at the @aikidounlimited dojo in #Hyvinkää on Sunday, 10am. Will be doing some #AikiTohoIai / #NishioRyu Iai practise.

    People there will be complete beginners so do come round if you are at all in the region :)

    A reminder that there will be a #Nishio style #aikido seminar in #Jyväskylä at the #Aikiken dojo, 26th–28th Sep. It will be lead by #Iwakata sensei, 6th dan, a good and very approachable teacher (also studied under #Endo for a while). Nishio style aikido is fluid, fast and practical, with strikes (atemi) regularly practised. Weapons play an extensive role and at least half of the seminar will consist of them, also including Nishio Ryu #iaido / #AikiTohoIai.
