I know #AI is controversial, especially on @Mastodon, but I think it's possible to have #AIforGood
I wanted to remove the friction of adding good alt text to images on Mastodon and also to help people write better alt text, especially since the built-in "Add text from image" is insufficient for that.
So, I created a browser extension/add-on for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari called "Alt Text for the Fediverse"

guIDE now has a full docker compose stack for local development with mocked Supabase services and some fancy things (Homepage service). Until I continue work on a desktop version this can also be used to run your own iteration of guIDE disconnected from the official service (though the guile wasm assets are still pulled from the prod Supabase)
