Here's another way that #Meta and their #AIshit is a massive tax on Mastodon and its various instances. Essentially exploiting a loophole to gobble up data that no one intends to share with Meta, while also jacking up bills, again for folks who generally want meta to GTFO.
For the #MastoAdmin folks out there, set Public Timelines to "Authenticated users only" under Administration -> Server Settings -> Discovery.
I imagine this doesn't do much to help with those who invite the threads folks right in the front door by not blocking that...

I'm worried I might be the only person in my company who actually reviews, AND CORRECTS the AI meeting notes before sending them.
I've found Copilot is good at making way too long meeting notes and creating action items out of thin air. I correct that crap, others don't.
This morning I have a follow up from someone inquiring about an action item I did not have anything to do with, but AI assigned to me. Guess they've been waiting a few weeks. Sorry, dude.

I don’t want to consume #AIshit but imagine I unwillingly already am. I have to use it at work. Nothing is black or white and I’m closer on the spectrum to anti-AI than I am to slopper. All that said, using an AI tool to assist with human code review seems pretty OK to me.

I’m watching with interest how comics are changing around me. There’s a lot of work being produced that impresses me, and a lot that leaves me cold, but even with the good stuff I’m finding it harder to tell how it’s being produced, and that makes me feel disconnected with the hand and mind of the artist who made it.
I’ve gone back to basics. Not to uphold tradition, and not to reject progress, but for the honesty and immediacy of getting my vision from my head to the paper without any digital intervention.
