We have been covering this since 2018. Back then we called it algorithmic discrimination.
The vocabulary changed. The question did not: who checks the system, and what happens to the people it gets wrong?

New York City paused generative AI for 2-K through 8th grade for one year.
The policy describes no AI literacy instruction for those same grades. The pause stops a practice; it does not teach anyone anything.
Will CS for All fill in the gap?

This is a very timely and thought-provoking insight by @tante on #GenAI adoption 👇🏻
Incidentally, as I relaunched my blog a few weeks back, a couple of folks asked me what my thoughts were RE: GenAI and whether I was going to use those automated services to (co-)write my blog posts.
My short answer: "Can’t slop, won’t slop – No LLMs involved, human powered"

AI BEYOND THE HYPE AND FEAR
This episode of The Rest Is Politics stood out.
Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart are not AI specialists, and that makes their perspective interesting. Despite the alarming title, this is no anti-AI rant: Rory in particular sees AI’s potential without downplaying the dangers. In a debate often reduced to hype versus rejection, that balance is refreshing.
Well worth an hour:

The key AI question may not be whether the technology succeeds.
It may be who captures the value, who pays the cost, and who controls the infrastructure.
