Day 22 of #Arttrober is Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess (or Oh My Goddess, depending on your source), based (*very* loosely) on the Norn Verðandi from Norse mythology.
Long time followers know I'm partial to drawing winged characters, so this was nice.
I watched the anime series some time ago, and enjoyed it well enough as I recall.

September Thirteen's "get in a ridiculous argument about [choice]."
Finally, Urd and Lia will resolve to (checks papers) to solve the mystery of...something related to chemistry, I guess. I'm tired, so, uh, sorry I couldn't come up with something funnier for the dialogue. (Urd is an alchemist who deals with potions, Lia has created her own holo tech...)
Shoulda done the lettering and bubbles better but CSP and Photoshop were severely lagging at this point, and I have negative patience right now, oops.

Following the new #introduction train with the new word limit (wait, where are you going, come back, I promise I won't be at the limit of the word count--!!)
Hullo! I am NAAN and while I usually work as a comicker, I also take the time to archive or ramble about things I find interesting to share! I try to work within my financial limits, so anything archived is just mainly tech-related like a cassette filled with interviews or music that's never been in HQ online! (These are very specific examples for reasons.)
>>> https://archive.org/details/@therealnaan <<<
I also post a bunch of my fanart under #NAANfanart, old and new, as well as work on my fansite and uhh (checks notes) one fanbook and fancomic! (Quick, how many times I can use fan as a prefix--)
>>> https://okilies.neocities.org <<<
My primary fansite right now is one for Hans von Hammer, better known as #EnemyAce: https://hollenreiter.neocities.org A (justifiably) depressed and brooding WWI ace pilot who only likes talking to a wolf? Sign me up?!
I dabble in other parts of #DCComics fandom, mainly the #TangentComics publishing line. Other fandoms I tend to play in include #Macross, #AhMyGoddess / #OhMyGoddess , #KishinCorps, #TenchiMuyo and the #MagicalGirls genre. I've also posted stuff about #LimbusCompany but I don't talk about it much on here in comparison to the others.
Most of my fandom experience is done "alone," as I always tended to do fandom alone while growing up. (I got on the internet late too.) But I'm active in some of the fandoms above through Discord at times. I'm mainly a lurker but I like seeing what people are into (or seeing if they know the thing :eyes: )
I'm into #linguistics, #comics #history and #design, though you won't see much of those on here, given this is my fandom account. ( boop @naan )
I'm also Puerto Rican straight from the island (though living in the US for (checks notes), wow, 18 yrs!! And by next week I will no longer be in my mid 30s. Oh nooo. Well, anyway :blobCatSnug: My account is mostly SFW but I interact with accounts that are more adult-oriented. Please keep that in mind, and go cry to your mother if you ignore the warning and complain afterwards. :annoyingdog:
After 30 years, I have finally removed my Kodansha art poster prints for #AhMyGoddess and #MagicKnightRayeart from my basement to put them in frames. My interest at the time would have been based on Manga reprints, since at that time I had very limited access to Anime, but managed to make it to my local comic book shop every week.
I usually make a quick little banner for my uploads, but I figured--this time, the cover would work nicely!
I scanned the box and ripped the DVD contents for the Ah My Goddess pachinko! Since there's no English translation, I took the opportunity to fan-translate it as "The Jackpot Arrives!"

I hope you enjoy!

#snowflakeChallenge2024 9. Something only someone in your fandom would understand
-One of the things I must add onto the eventual #AhMyGoddess fansite is a (for now) AMG Discord specific event where a member tried to edit out the harem genre out of the Wikipedia page, and suddenly we found ourselves thrust in a journey of "uh, did you guys fail your library classes or something?" It was very odd!
A cruel goddess' thesis...
Would anyone in #tech or #preservation Fediverse know how to open a Win98/Win95 anime calendar on a Win11 laptop? This is the first old thing that hasn't worked, and googling the warning message tells me I need a 16bit thingeroo to open it. Except programs like https://mendelson.org/otvdm.html spit out a warning that the calendar is 32bit instead :blobfacepalm: :blobcatsadlife:

Are there any fellow #crossover lovers out there? I want to know your faves! :blobcheerbounce:
I have a ton of crossovers but I'll throw out a "recent" one! (2018) Oh My Goddess with Darling in the Franxx!
I wrote about this over here:
https://jadinerhine.tumblr.com/post/175604265206/a-fun-sketch-crossover-idea-turned-into-an but summary is Zorome’s mom in episode 10 shares the same voice actress as Belldandy from #OhMyGoddess!

One of the things I'm most proud of finding is an #OhMyGoddess #AnimeV cassette tape featuring VERY rare archived recordings of the cast and creator talking about songs from the Tokuten-Ou album! I snatched it up the second I saw it, and looking into its history was a lot of fun!

Me: I should be working on my comic now that time's beginning to be a little kinder to me now and try to finish it for the update this year
Also me: procrastinates by hashing out a quick header for an eventual future project
Hello, folks! #intropost #introduction
My name's NAAN and I usually work as a comicker. But sometimes I take time to archive things I find interesting, work on my fansite or do, like, one fanbook!
I'm into #linguistics, #comics #history and #design!
I don't tend to participate *much* in fandom--I tended to always do fandom alone. But in recent years, I have decided to dip my toes into some. They include #AhMyGoddess #TenchiMuyo #Macross and #MagicalGirls!

Watching some Ah! My Goddess OVA's last night. Been such a long time since I last saw it, and gotta say, still enjoyed it a lot today. Gonna have to draw more goddesses soon!
Since I'm not sure if I'll be around tomorrow, may the #AhMyGoddess fandom have their Xmas gift early-- very rare archived recordings featuring the cast and creator talking about songs from the Tokuten-Ou album!
Merry Christmas! 🎄

I do love the #AhMyGoddess OP, even if it's full of BLATANT LIES.
(Most of the vast cast you see in the OP never appear in the OAVs, it's basically fanservice to the manga readers).

I do have fond memories of the original #AhMyGoddess OAVs, I never got into the TV series for some reason.
