The town I am has some pretty interesting HOA / Community Guidelines.
#Agritopia: No home can be 2 story. Each house requires a large porch in front. Garages cannot be attached to home and must be tucked away out back. Has community gardens
#Comstock: Requires to close driveway during the holidays. Must help decorate for neighborhood children. Must be open to street closure on Christmas. Community spaces, extra playgrounds, and events each quarter.
Whats odd. Is these two neighborhoods have strict guidelines meant to build community. Yet despite that, they are seem as premier or fancy, and well off people pay a premium to be in a neighborhood that focuses on socializing
I think this is the norm. But it's sad that suggesting a garage not being front and center of a home should feel "radical"
