By offering a container based toilet and #composting waste treatment, SOIL is working to create a revolutionary social business model for providing access to safe, dignified sanitation that produces rich, #OrganicCompost as a natural resource for Haiti's badly depleted soils, while also creating economic opportunities in some of the world's most under-resourced communities.
"Today, more than 4,300 households rely on SOIL’s #EkoLakay container-based sanitation service. Through #EcologicalSanitation and #thermophilic composting, SOIL safely transforms more than 1,300 metric tons of waste into #AgriculturalGrade #compost annually while mitigating over 3,000 metric tons of #CO2e each year through aerobic waste treatment processes."
