I did not say #agilescaling was the problem! #AgileScaling is a symptom of a lack of insight and a lack of interest in the actual problems.

Now, we seem to agree that command-and-control management, functional division, budgeting and steering are at the heart of the actual problem. I understand that #AgileScaling is just that old mess, remixed and renamed. It is a continuation of what we call Alpha.

It is time for people in the #agile movement to admit to themselves that they have allowed themselves to be led astray by easy temptations such as #AgileCoaching, #AgileScaling, #agilecertifications and other fads. It is time to say: Yes, we had fun, yes, we made easy money, but let's move on and finally make the world a better place!

Companies should not be #flatter: In "flat", the logic of top-down/bottom-up and hierarchical #steering is preserved.
Instead, organizations must become #decentralized & #federative, in order to counter market complexity with internal complexity, effectively! (Which is why #MatrixStructures, business unit structures, #AgileScaling or the #SpotifyModel got it all wrong.)
