I am BEGGING you, people, if you find some news that are interesting, yes, post it, share it, etc

But DO avoid plopping dumb links to aggregators that do nothing but add a summary or an empty tracker-middle-man step to reach those news.

Favor original posts, if localized, find the local news. If sharing something related to a document/law, etc, find a link that contains the source document.

Otherwise, you are just adding to the avalanche of misinformation, and muddy, empty blahblah about news, really.

I get it, your life revolves around apple, you have no identity beyond overpaying and using only their devices, so you only get news from apple news aggregator. Haha. There is world of accurate news out there, and your brand/personality cult is part of the problem.

On the hobby front

I am now feeding #AIS data for the #CumberlandRiver at #Clarksville, TN to several AIS #aggregators. I don't get a ton of distance due to terrain, but I am happy to share what I got.

This is in addition to my #ADSB #feeds.

Oh, I don't think I posted this here, but in just 1 month, I am #1 on Radarbox for Tennessee :) 187th in the US, and 854th globally. This is out of over 33,000 stations. I didn't spend a ton on my gear, but I do my research.

To visualize, Imagine if someone set up a faux biz page to sell cannabis plants, took orders at a small markup, then forwarded the orders to your biz to fulfill?

#Aggregators are parasitic scum. Do not follow them. What am I talking about? Aggregator accounts scrape sites for others' photos that they repost from their own account, sometimes with attribution, sometimes not. Because they can constantly post the best work of hundreds of people, they can easily amass large followings that they almost always use in some way to make money. This is parasitic theft, even when not technically illegal under copyright law. DO NOT FOLLOW THESE SCUM. #copyright

Our #DickSmith has been known to rally against these #aggregators in the past also. Just #multinational #corporateLeeches, sucking the value out of local businesses.
