Whoever is working on AoM - they know what they're doing. The team continues to surprise me with new units and mechanics that fit the vibe of the game really well. A game that came out in 2002.
As an example, they introduced the hero unit King Midas, whose special ability can turn enemies into gold. Gold that you can then mine. ⛏️ How cool is that?
Other new mythical creatures can turn into trees, snatch enemies and keep them in the air, or lure them closer.
I think I like the addition of Demeter even more than the new Chinese and Japanese DLCs. She might be a new reason to occasionally play the Greeks. 👀 -

I bought #AgeOfMythologyRetold on #Steam and my achievements are also being unlocked and displayed on my #Xbox app on PC. I don't mind, but I don't know what I did to make it communicate with Xbox. It didn't happen with any other game, unless it's because of crossplay or something. #videogames

Chiyou y Xingtian luchan al final, pero Chiyou parece aquí más grande que los edificios cuando antes la gente le llegaba al pecho 😕 . Por encima se ve un dragón alado que podría ser el dragón azur, si se mantiene el grupo, o el yinglong, como se pretendía en el HD. Dado que salen muchísimos monstruos y solo 2 o 3 reconocibles del anterior, parece que han hecho borrón y cuenta nueva.

El gigante rubio con escudo y un hacha podría ser Xingtian, una deidad que siguió luchando a pesar de perder literalmente la cabeza. En una imagen posterior se le ve una cara terrorífica de jade en el abdomen, por lo que seguramente sea él. #AgeofmythologyRetold

En #AgeofmythologyRetold han anunciado una nueva expansión que cubrirá a los chinos, como hizo la versión HD. En esta imagen hay varias criaturas. Arriba, el ave bermellón (salvo que la cambien por el fenghuang, que no creo porque han dejado al tigre blanco).
El tigre alado con cuerno podría ser el Sin-you (nombre japonés), por la combinación de felino y cuerno en la frente, o el Qiongqi.

AGE OF MYTHOLOGY: RETOLD
Esta es la cuarta versión de este juego que me he disfrutado(quitando la versión demo especial).
Las antiguas versiones, incluyendo la Extended Edition(Ahora obsoleta). Eran muy entretenidas pero tenían muchos fallos de balance muy exagerados. Hasta tal punto que cuando obligaron a los desarrolladores a crear una civilización. Crearon la aberración de DLC sobre la mitología China(y se lo cobraron a los jugadores).
Aparentemente han arreglado los errores teniendo mucho más balance el juego, van a seguir creando nuevo contenido y quizás aprovechen el potencial inherente del juego.
Yo me lo he pasado como un jugador casual que quiere pasarse la campaña(han mejorado mapas que eran un bodrio) y hacerse escaramuzas de vez en cuanto. Me ha merecido la pena este "Nostalgia Trip".
