@_MissKitty I don't think it's so much 'ego-based' but Corruption, it's corporations and lobbies causing these erosions of rights with their *donations* (bribes) to politicians, keeping them 'nice & compliant' on their payroll. The goal being to have access to rewrite laws to allow the corps and lobbies to always get their way, no matter the cost to others..
It's been a very VERY long time since any government actually served 'the people', their full attention is on serving the *donors*, corporations and lobbies that fund them.
Take the Israeli-Lobby for example, the Envoy that's been gifted full access to rewrite Australian Laws was caught out funding far-right groups with her husband back in July 2025.. It was quietly swept under the proverbial Israeli (mountainous & growing ever higher) rug and she's still giving orders in our Government today.. Which is what's lead to this current issue.

When my boss Vladimir Putin ordered the Special Military Operation into Ukraine, I mean, the rescue mission for our stolen-land(!), the military job spam I got sent from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (mainly to my Microsoft Outlook) was for meat-grinder roles but there was also some airforce shit.

Not only is it legitimate to call for "the death" of real institutions and corporate entities such as any army anywhere, you can also talk freely about killing fictional-characters and imaginary-entities.
Calling for the death of a people is not legitimate.
Calling for the death of a nation's army is totally fine.You can also make up ridiculous nonsensical statements and pass them off as attempts at humor or political satire.
I'll give an example :-
