France and Germany have tried to set national #agelimits for social media in recent months, but in both cases the @EUCommission has warned that this would amount to implementing the DSA -- an EU Regulation -- which is not allowed.
Much like Member States can't decide e.g. what it means for a data processor to take appropriate measures under the GDPR, Member States can't decide what appropriate protection of minors looks like for services falling under the DSA.

Both Mitch McConnell's and Dianne Feinstein's recent cognitive issues are symptomatic of this older generation refusing to turn over the keys of power to younger, more capable candidates. It's not ageist to state that these people are staying well past their ability to perform competently. I'm suspicious of Joe Biden (but better him than the Orange Butthead) and anyone else that is over the age of 70 and still in government. NPR noted this past November that almost a quarter of Congress members were over 70. It's time to say "Enough!".
