EU implementation of age verification maybe would not only have all the bad ipacts of age scans but wooorse… (yes you'd maybe think how can it get worse? Or you think well age limits are not bad… in any case…)

What I think more people should be pointing out about age verification is that it isn't a "slippery slope" toward identity verification, it *is* identity verification.
How many people have you run into in your life who were born on the *exact* same day as you?
Zuckerberg is spending a billion dollars on this for the same reason that pharmacies can reliably verify your identity by asking your birthdate.
Age verification *is* identity verification.

My take on the age verification is that it is better we (like in the Linux community) have some control over how it is done then putting it in the hands of Apple and Google and bind it to iPhones and commercial android.I as a user can always block or remove the software, or replace it with something where I can acknowledge any requests so I know who is asking and who is going to know (like iOS does with cross app information).
