Agave pumila
This is I believe the smallest agave. It's very slow growing, and in my experience is quick to drop leaves or go lopsided. It happens to be quite nicely proportioned at the moment.

I keep a Perpetual Journal; here are my entries from my yard 1, 2 & 3 years ago this week: Bloomed out Queen Victoria Agave stalk; insect egg cluster; Velvet Mesquite seedpods turning red. In '26 more Agaves are blooming & our Velvet Mesquite seedpods turned red mid-June.

Agave titanota 'Red Cat Weasel'
I got this almost exactly two years ago and it's shaped up very nicely. The name comes from the fact that this variety turns dark reddish when stressed, but I keep this one indoors so I guess it never gets stressed.
