Working with Lady Twigathea of Fat Bottom today. She is now walking calmly for me. Hoping to start trotting tomorrow.

03/08/2025 - A roadside full of autumn hawkbit for today's #WildFlowerHour
A quiet afternoon stroll on the back roads. Not as many wild flowers about now. Plenty of autumn hawkbit though, a nice bit of colour as I walked along.

20/07/2025 - Afternoon walk down the road looking for wild flowers and hoverflies. It was cloudy and muggy with light rain for most of it. Still nice to be out of the house for a few hours.

03/05/2025 - Doing what I love doing.
Walking old tracks, between big trees, looking for small flowers. I'd be happy every day with that.

24/04/2025 - I took a half day as boring stuff needed doing. Life, work, jobs round the house, it feels like spinning plates on poles at the moment and I'm not doing that well at it. Finished enough of what I had to do by 3pm so headed out for a walk in the sunshine. A couple of hours looking at trees, flowers and birds made everything a bit better.

20/04/2025 - An afternoon walk that was so nice we didn't get back until after the sun set. The weather at the coast was lovely today. Not too warm, not too cold, a nice breeze and plenty of sunshine. Not too busy either. Lots of wonderful wild flowers and birds to see. We took tea with us as I guessed we wouldn't want to rush.

12/04/2025 - Sunny afternoon stroll. We were tried after a late adventure last night. We took it slow, just looking at all the lovely flowers, trees and bugs coming into life. So many dandelions by the roadside, the bees and hoverflies were enjoying them too. So great to have them back. Half way round we sat by the burn, resting the feet and just loving being out. A nice day for topping up the happiness levels.

29/03/2025 - Conifers are tricky to ID. Handy tip, look around on the ground for cones. A quick photo and upload to iNaturalist should help with an ID. Though it did struggle with this one and said it wasn't confident enough to make a recommendation!

15/03/2025 - A slow walk to say hello to spring.
Afternoon walk from the house. Looking for wild flowers and enjoying the sunshine. The birds all were busy, so much song, a wonderful soundtrack to our walk. The flowers were good, saw our first Colts-foot, Common Fumitory, Wood Anemone and Thale Cress of spring. A happy making walk.
