tbh it’s more about the cooking at home than the choko itself. watching #Aftertaste on abc the other day and someone was oohing and oohing over the way the rabbit was cooked. i nearly gagged at the thought of rabbit the way it was cooked when i was young. can’t say i was “hungry” as a kid, but seriously!
years later i did cook some rabbit with tarragon etc and it was yummy, but unless someone is providing them free of charge, it’s a pass.

In general, dried seafood/fish don’t go well with beer (lighter beers sometimes okay) or wine (even white in my opinion). Plain or less fatty fish also don’t go well, either. But cooking fish/seafood with lots of olive oil reduces that bad taste. There are published scientific results from a Japanese brewery investigating the bad aftertaste of fish and wine combination 😉
