Hat in a Box
This is a small (about 4.5" square, about 5" tall) box made of turned and textured African Blackwood. The legs and interior of the actual box part are made of Snakewood and the legs are held in place with stainless steel pins.

This box is made from African Blackwood, with Cocobolo rings and an inset tray with a vegetable ivory pull.

A spinning top, custom turned for a collector in the UK a couple of years ago. This one is African blackwood, thuya root burl with a tagua nut (vegetable ivory) finial. There is something so relaxing and satisfying about spinning a beautiful, nicely weighted spinning top.
