I don't know who needs to hear this, and it seems like the future of the Affinity suite by Serif is in question right now, but just so you know:
You can download Affinity Designer, Photo, and Publisher v2 from the iPadOS App Store right now, and the in-app purchase for a license is set to $0. Maybe accidental, idk lol, grab the perpetual license before they catch their mistake.
I'm not sure if the desktop versions can be purchased anymore unfortunately, but if you have an iPad now's the time to download v2 before Canva releases a probably-shittier v3. go go go

@konahart But there is a discounted initial price, which functions similarly to an upgrade discount. From my perspective, the bundle is excellent value for three integrated desktop apps plus three iPad apps (although I can’t see myself trying to do Publisher work on an iPad). And, although it’s a tiny thing, I’m deliriously happy that there’s now a word/character count function in Publisher. Also the “style copying” function looks promising. #AffinityV2

After a few hours with #affinityv2 today, I'm impressed. Non-destructive RAW editing in #affinityphoto works great! Text warps and meshes in @affinitydesigner are a huge addition.
On that note: can anyone recommend a good third-party #adobe Bridge replacement?

Spending a little time tonight installing the Affinity V2 suite of apps. I'm very proud to say that I've de-Adobe'd myself. I've had a license for Affinity Photo for the last six years, so I'm not too sad about having to upgrade again (and, y'know, I don't really HAVE to). Five or six years between major paid upgrades sounds about right.

CW: Angry about Affinity
#Affinity was supposed to be a BETTER option than the shitty companies, but they're releasing a version 2 you need to purchase separately AFTER they let version 1 break.
This is not okay. This screws a lot of people over in hopes of getting them to pay more money for an upgrade. The only fix they offer for the v1 problem is turning Windows Updates off. Which, yeah....

Are you affected by the change from V1 to V2? I'm really curious to hear from people for whom paying for the new version is a burden, or at least not an automatic "yes."
